Willie Udube Rallies His Boys As NNL Season Enters Home-Stretch

The Technical Adviser of Edel FC, Willie Udube has called on his boys to end the season on a high. He made this call after his team battled to a 1-1 draw against Abia Comets in Umuahia on Sunday. A game that his boys came from behind to rescue a point.

The experience gaffer informed his boys on the need to stay grounded. He appreciated their efforts and hard work this season but reminded them of the importance of finishing strongly.

“It was a difficult game against Comets on Sunday, we came into the game with 9 regular players out due to one reason or the other. We have to manage the situation the much we can and as we played many players out of position while 3 made a starting debut for the team. That was our position coming into the game. I am glad everybody gave their all in the match and a point apiece was as good as each team deserved even though we wanted to win badly.”

Up next for Edel FC is a home game on Saturday against Dakkada FC of Uyo at the Awka City stadium by 3pm.
