First NNL Goal Excites Hobi, As Dedicates Goal To Team.

Edel FC hero in Umuahia, Andrew Hobi has described how happy he was after netting his NNL goal of the season in the hard-fought 1-1 draw against Abia Comets. He said he couldn’t describe how he felt when the ball crossed the line as he wheeled away in celebration.

The player nicknamed “The Beast” who has the most substitute appearance (14) this season finished off a wonderful team move that saw Chinedu Uzonwanne crossing for him. Speaking with edelfc.com.ng he said it was a dream come true for him to score.

“Honestly I can’t put into words how I felt after scoring my first goal of the season. And the goal is an important one too. Everyday I go to training, I work on being at the right place at the right time. I want to thank the coaches for giving me the opportunity and I hope to take more chances when they come. I dedicate this goal to my teammates, the coaches and management who have been trying to make us better. I feel happy here because everyone made me feel at home.”

The former Yarmalight striker will hope to continue his goal scoring run when Edel FC will host Dakadda FC at the Awka City stadium this Saturday.
