Iloka Victor’s Masterclass Propels Edel FC To FA Cup Glory

Our goalkeeper, Victor Iloka was in an inspired form during the penalty shootout to help us reclaim the NEROS Pharmaceuticals Anambra FA Cup title against the defending champions, Solution FC.

The finals took place at the famed NEROS Stadium in Nanka town between two teams that know each other well. Solution FC lifted the trophy last year by beating us 1 goal to nil. Revenge was on the cards for us.

After an eventful 90 minutes with few chances in-between. Two Solution FC players; Uche Ilo and Chinonso Okechukwu saw red card for dissent in the closing stages. Penalty shootout was then the criteria to separate both sides.

Iloka Victor who saved two penalties in our semifinals was again at it as he saved the first 3 penalty takes of Solution FC before Jeremiah Onwuseraka scored our second after Chuddy Onyeka converted the first one for us. With that, we were crowned the champions of the 2025 NEROS Pharmaceuticals Anambra FA Cup.

We have also qualified alongside Solution FC to represent the state in the National level starting in the first week of March. We went through the state FA Cup competition without conceding a goal.
